5 Gifts Your Husband would Love to get from you
Giving gifts is one of the love languages Gary Chapman mentioned in his book “The 5 Love Languages explained that a gift is something you can hold in your hand and say, “Look, he was thinking of me,” or “She remembered me.” You must be thinking of someone to give him a gift. The gift itself is a symbol of that thought. It doesn’t matter whether it costs money.
What is important is that you thought of him. And it is not the thought implanted only in the mind that counts, but the thought expressed in actually securing the gift and giving it as the expression of love. So, I will like to share with you five gifts your husband wants from you.
When I read “For women, only,” a book by Shaunti Fieldhahn, It got me thinking that sometimes we focus mostly on tangible gifts for people, but what about some intangible things we can give to people, especially our husbands? I have listed five gifts your Husband will Love to get from you.
Gift 1 Give him respect.
One of the ways you can honor your husband is to give him the gift of respect. Just as our men can choose to demonstrate love toward us even if they don’t feel it at the moment, we can and should decide to show respect.
Respect his judgment
Your husband wants to know that you can respect his knowledge, opinions, and decisions. We always fall into the trap of proving to our husbands that we are equally knowledgeable about what we are discussing. Show your husband that you respect his judgment.
Respect his Abilities
Every day a man is asking the question, am I adequate? Am I enough? Men feel appreciated at work and may not feel the same at home. Let’s help our men know that we respect them as the head of our children’s household and father. Eph 5:22
Respect him as you communicate
Speak highly of your husband. When you speak highly of him, he will rise to what you say of him. You build him up. You adore him. Speak highly of your husband anytime you go out with him.
Respect him in Public
Even if you guys fought before an event, you need to find ways to act right if you decide to go to that event. Praise him in public. Show him honor.
Gift 2
Your husband will love to get your understanding.
More than anything, we all want to be understood. Your husband would love it if you gave him your understanding. He wants your understanding. He wants to know that you can listen and make him feel heard. It is quite challenging for us ladies to give our men a listening ear; this is where I am praying and working towards being a better listener, especially to my husband.
So, today give your husband understanding. When he speaks, listen before interrupting. When he makes decisions, evaluate it before giving your own opinions. When he says, honey, listen to me, give him your undivided attention.

Gift 3
Your husband would love to get your Affirmation.
Affirmation is a form of emotional support or encouragement. Your husband would love it if you gave him affirmation. Your husband needs your Affirmation. He needs you to encourage him in the areas of his weakness. He needs to affirm that you love and respect him. He needs you to tell him that he is still the best thing that happened to you. He needs you to show him that he is your man, and you are proud to be his wife. When you affirm your husband, he becomes what you say about him.
Gift 4
Your husband wants the chance to lead.
Your Husband would love it if you gave him a chance to lead. Allow and give your husband the chance to lead. The Bible says that husbands are the head of the homes. Nowadays, it has not been easy for them to be the head because we are always getting in the way of their leadership. We still think we will do better if we lead, but we see many broken homes because the wives have not given their husbands the leadership mantle in their homes. Give your husband the chance to guide you and make decisions for your family.

Gift 5
Your husband wants your prayers.
Above all things, your husband wants your prayers. How much do you pray for him? So many times, prayer does not change the situation, but prayer changes you.
When you pray for your husband, you are saying, I love and cherish you, and I honor the gift of God you are to me. You say that they mean so much to you that you would ask God to protect and guide them. How do you feel when someone genuinely tells you they are praying for you? For me, it makes me feel valued. It makes me feel wanted and loved. So when you pray for your husband, it means so much and a lot to them. There is nothing that proves you love someone more than mentioning them in your prayers. Today, give your husband a gift of prayers.
